1. Overview
These Contest Rules apply to every contest offered on the FanDrill platform and are incorporated into, and governed by, the FanDrill Terms of Service. In case of conflict, the specific rules posted on an individual contest page control for that contest.
2. Eligibility to Enter
Only registered, verified FanDrill Users who meet the eligibility requirements in the Terms of Service (age, location, account standing) may enter paid contests. Paid entry is available only to Users physically located in FanDrill's current list of launch states (see Terms of Service, Section 2.1), verified by geolocation at entry.
3. How Contests Work
Each contest specifies a sport, salary cap, entry fee, roster requirements, and prize structure before entry. Users build a lineup of real athletes within the salary cap, following the roster/position requirements shown on the contest page. Once the contest locks (typically at the start of the first included game), lineups cannot be edited except through Late Swap where offered.
4. Scoring
Player statistics are sourced from FanDrill's official data provider and converted to fantasy points using the scoring rules published on the contest/sport's scoring page. Official statistics, as corrected by the relevant sports league/data provider, govern final scoring. This includes post-game corrections within the correction window disclosed on the Platform. In the event of a data-provider error materially affecting results, FanDrill may void and refund the affected contest at its discretion.
5. Late Swap
When enabled for a contest, Users may swap a player who has not yet started their game for another eligible player, up until that player's game locks.
6. Postponed, Suspended, or Cancelled Games
If a game is postponed and not replayed within the contest's stated window, players from that game typically score zero points for that contest, unless the contest page states otherwise. If a full slate is cancelled or substantially disrupted before completion, FanDrill may cancel the contest and refund all entry fees at its discretion.
7. Prizes & Payouts
Prize structure (guaranteed vs. dynamic) is disclosed on each contest page before entry. If a guaranteed-prize contest does not fill, FanDrill covers the difference ("overlay") unless the contest page states it may be cancelled instead. Winnings are credited to the User's FanDrill account balance after results are finalized and any post-game corrections applied. Prizes may be held pending identity verification or fraud review.
8. Multi-Entry Contests
Where a contest allows multiple entries per User, the maximum entries per User is stated on the contest page. Users may not use multiple accounts to exceed this limit.
9. Ties
If two or more lineups finish with identical scores, the prize amounts for the tied positions are combined and divided equally among the tied Users, unless the contest page specifies an alternate tiebreaker (e.g., highest-scoring bench player).
10. Fraud, Collusion & Rule Violations
FanDrill may void entries, disqualify Users, and withhold or reclaim winnings where it determines, in its reasonable discretion, that a User violated these Contest Rules, the Terms of Service, or engaged in collusion, use of multiple accounts, or use of prohibited automation.
11. Disputes
Scoring or payout disputes must be submitted to FanDrill support within 7 Days of contest completion. FanDrill's determination, made in good faith based on official statistics, is final.
12. Changes to Contest Rules
FanDrill may update these Contest Rules from time to time; the version in effect at the time you enter a contest governs that entry.
